Learn A Little Bit More About Our Story
Pamuhacha HIV & AIDS Prevention Project (PVO 16/11) is a registered community-based organisation operating from Chinhoyi in Mashonaland West, Zimbabwe. Born out of a community response to the HIV epidemic, Pamuhacha has grown into a locally led organisation that combines compassionate care with evidence-informed programming. We work across Makonde, Hurungwe and Zvimba districts to deliver integrated services that reduce HIV transmission, improve access to treatment for children and adults, protect vulnerable children, and support survivors of gender-based violence.
Our approach is participatory: we design and implement programmes with local committees, traditional leaders and government partners so that solutions are culturally appropriate and sustainable. From paediatric ART support and palliative care to Girl Rising Clubs for adolescents and household economic strengthening, our interventions are practical, community-owned and geared toward long-term resilience. With a firm commitment to transparency and measurable results, Pamuhacha seeks to restore dignity, strengthen families and create safer, healthier communities.
